We are continuing RiverWatch program in the Upper Neuse with Orientation Training on February 12th from 10am-12noon at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center in Raleigh. Thi s successful program in the Lower Watershed is now being expanded to the Triangle and we would love to have you join us to learn more about your local streams and how you can protect them.. RiverWatch educates, engages, and empowers citizens to learn about their local waterways and the challenges to those special places, helping you address challenges to your own neighborhood stream and better understand the watershed as a whole. The curriculum helps people understand the characteristics of a healthy stream and recognize hidden threats. You can join a network of other volunteers at monthly meetings to learn from area experts, hear how others have made a difference, and share success stories from your neighborhood. Can't come on February 12th?The March training is tentatively scheduled for March 26th in Durham in conjunction with the Eno River Association. We also will be happy to schedule a training date that is convenient for you and your friends or neighbors. Just contact Jessica Robinson, our Program Coordinator, at jessica@neuseriver.org to request a training date.
