NC SPIN Water Conference
October 12, 2010 - Brownstone Hotel in Raleigh

The hot, dry summer has left us with below normal rainfall, and many areas in the state find themselves in drought-like conditions. In the Triangle, rain totals are 7.5 inches below normal. We are not experiencing 2007 conditions yet but discussions are increasingly being focused on water supplies. NC SPIN, North Carolina's only independently produced statewide TV and radio talk show, is presenting a 1-day conference devoted entirely to water, including subjects like:
  • Who owns water?
  • Can anything be done about supply and demand?
  • How does water impact economic development?
  • What role should government play in water issues?
  • How can we finance water systems?
  • What are practical solutions to our issues?
Registration is $60 and includes a continental breakfast, hot lunch and handouts. CLICK HERE for more details and registration forms.
WakeUP is a co-sponsor for this event.

Sincerely,

Karen Rindge
Executive Director, WakeUP Wake County
