Wake County Update

Best friends bring out the best in us
News to Wag About from the Wake County Animal Center

Senior Cats for Senior Laps

The Wake County Animal Center receives approximately 8,600 abandoned, lost and surrendered cats and kittens every year. The cats that have the most difficulty finding new homes are the "senior" cats, who are actually the easiest to care for - because they are often very healthy, affectionate, calm, low-maintenance, and clean companions.

To encourage the adoption of senior cats, for the rest of 2010, anyone over the age of 60 who adopts a cat over the age of 5 will receive a discount of $10 off the regular adoption fee ($45 for unfixed cats, $15 for fixed cats). A complimentary health exam and 14-day follow-up care from VCA Animal Hospitals, bag of food, microchip, and vaccinations are all included.

Visit the Center today to find your new best friend!
