Please write a letter of support TODAY urging the state Division of Water Quality to expedite Falls Lake cleanup efforts and require stricter development standards in the watershed.  YOUR drinking water and hard-earned tax dollars are on the line.  The deadline for public comments in support of a timely and effective cleanup plan is TODAY.

Aug. 31 :: HIGH SPEED RAIL HEARING :: 7p
Location: Raleigh City Hall, 222 West Hargett St, 27601
After receiving recommendations from the Passenger Rail Task Force on August 3rd, Council announced that it will hold a public hearing on August 31st before taking a formal position.  Please attend and provide feedback on the best path for a future high speed rail line.  Click here to learn more about future high speed rail service to Wake County.

The deadline for public comments on high speed rail route options is August 30th.  Click here to submit written comments.

Sept. 14-23 :: TRANSIT WORKSHOPS :: 4-7p
SECOND ROUND OF TRANSIT WORKSHOPS - Triangle citizens are invited to participate in a second round of public workshops on future bus and rail options. 
These community meetings on the Triangle Regional Transit Program (TRTP) will offer citizens the opportunity to provide feedback on transit corridors under study in Wake, Durham and Orange counties.  Click here to learn more.

Sept. 1 :: UDO Transitions Workshop :: 6-8p
Location: Raleigh Urban Design Center, 133 Fayetteville St, 27601
In this workshop, participants will review preliminary draft standards for improvements related to transitions between landuses and density.  Participants will create transitions standards and engage in an activity to evaluate their proposal.  Based on the comments from this workshop, the draft standards will then be refined.  Click here to learn more.  Pre-register today - email Newcode@raleighnc.gov
