Rebates up to $100 will be given for replacing an older with a new EPA WaterSense toilet. Installation fees are not covered. Rebates will be given as checks and not as credit on the water bill, unless the water accounts are not current. If the water account is not current, the rebate may be denied or given as a credit towards the water account.
Only WaterSense labeled toilets are eligible of a rebate because these toilets are independently certified to be High Efficiency Toilets, using 20% less than the current federal standard of 1.6 gallons/flush, and they have a high flushing performance.

ITEM 6. SECOND ROUND OF WORKSHOPS ON EXPANDED BUS AND RAIL
OPTIONS SET FOR SEPTEMBER

Triangle citizens are invited to participate in a second round of public workshops on future bus and rail options. These community meetings on the Triangle Regional Transit Program (TRTP) will offer citizens the opportunity to respond to a technical analysis of transit corridors under study in Wake, Durham and Orange counties. The workshops will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and each session will have two formal presentations at 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Information presented at each meeting will include each county’s projects as well as the region. “As the Triangle continues to expand and our population grows to record numbers, it is crucial we design a transportation system that can meet future demands,” said David King, CEO and General Manager of Triangle Transit. “Hearing from people who live and work in the Triangle and are invested in this community, improves our ability to produce plans which meet these future needs.” The analysis will review the purpose and need for transportationrelated improvements and the criteria by which project alternatives have been evaluated.
