We have something in common -- we both really care about our community and are concerned about how growth will affect our quality of life. Also, I bet we both have really busy lives! That's why I'm a member of WakeUP Wake County, because I know they are hard at work for me, monitoring actions of local government and speaking up for MY concerns about drinking water, schools and transportation needs.
Balancing work and family, I don't have time to go to all the meetings and public hearings, but I'm confident WakeUP is representing my voice. If you are not yet a WakeUP member, I urge you to join today for annual dues of only $25. Click here to join or donate!
WakeUP truly is making a difference, and decision-makers, the public and the media are listening. Over 100 citizens and elected officials attended WakeUP's annual meeting Monday night. We heard from issue experts and learned how much WakeUP has accomplished this year alone:
- Holding public education and candidate forums.
- Meeting with elected officials to ensure good policy decisions are made.
- Advocating for water conservation, regional transit,good growth planning and school funding.
- Speaking to the press at key times.
But WakeUP simply can't keep doing this work if we don't support them with our membership dues and donations. So please join today, if you haven't already.
