Wake County government encourages citizens to stay informed as budget decisions are made for the 2010 fiscal year. In an effort to maintain communication, the County recently launched "Economy and the Budget," a web-based information site for Wake County citizens to learn how budget proposals will affect them, and how they can become involved in the budget process.

As such, citizens are reminded that the next Board of Commissioners meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009. Citizens are encouraged to watch the meeting live online. In addition, citizens will have the ability to comment on the 2010 Recommended Budget, which will be presented to the Board of Commissioners by County Manager David Cooke.
