Too much traffic for you? When the county's population doubles in the next two decades, our major roadways will be at or beyond capacity, so says our Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. WakeUP believes we must have a bold, regional transit system to reduce the vehicles on our roads and to ensure the economic and environmental well-being for our community. Fortunately, many Wake leaders are developing a 10 year and 25 year plan for transit in Wake County. Also, legislation to make a transit plan possible will be introduced in the NC General Assembly soon.
