Meeting Reminder
June 23:
The Wendell Board of Commissioners will have their regularly scheduled monthly work session meeting on Monday, June 23 at Town Hall at 7pm. The agenda is posted on the town web site.
The main item of interest on the agenda is a rescheduled public hearing (rescheduled because the town failed to advertise the public hearing as required by law) on the proposed FY 2008-2009 budget which includes a sizeable property tax increase and several controversial items. As most of you know, Wake County and the Fire District are also planning property tax increases. A draft copy of the budget can be viewed on the town web site.
Please plan to attend if you can.
