Raleigh-Cary area rank #1 in growth in the U.S.!‏
  • We're 1st in GROWTH in the nation!
  • March 26 - Come find out what is UP with WakeUP and how you can be involved!

NEWSFLASH! According to new census data released today, the Raleigh-Cary area was the fastest growing metropolitan area in the COUNTRY in 2007-2008! This growth rate of 4.3% includes Wake, Johnston and Franklin counties. We knew we were growing fast, and now our area has the distinction of being at the top of the list! Click here to read WakeUP's press release in response to the news.

This information makes the advocacy work of WakeUP all the more relevant and urgent. We need YOUR HELP to make WakeUP effective as YOUR voice for good growth! Can you donate just $25 today to help WakeUP:
  • Lead a coalition promoting a much-need plan for regional transit, because transit is key to guiding and dealing with growth and development.
  • Support fair growth funding solutions like impact fees and a transfer tax
  • Advocate for water conservation and protections to keep our drinking water clean
WakeUP is communicating with key local and state decision-makers, monitoring meetings, reviewing plans, and we need donations to support this action campaign! Click here to donate to WakeUP's growth action campaign. THANK YOU for your support! We can't do it without you!
